It is Book Club DAY one!! Restorative Embodiment and Resilience by Alan Fogel is our focus. Our first of seven Zoom-based conversation starts at 3:30 EST today. I am here as a co-learner with all of you. So excited!!
The one-hour conversations every second Thursday are optional. You are welcome to engage in any way that feels right for you. That might be contributing to the discussions. That might mean just listening to the dialogue or adding ideas via the chat. There is no right or wrong way to join in.
We won't be filming our Zoom times so that we can be focused on our conversations without the added stress of that. But I will film a short roll up clip after each session that will be shared with everyone in our Book Club so that those who cannot join us have an idea about where our conversations went.
Today's focus is the intro that Stuart Shanker wrote and Chapter 1. Worried that you haven't read those sections yet? Don't be. You won't be alone and we can talk about the ideas anyway.
I'll get us started with sharing a bit of my own connection to this book and the theme and why it is so timely for me right now. I'll open up an optional invite to others to say hello and why you wanted to be part of this book club. Then we will start with key ideas or take-aways from this week's reading and see where it leads us.
You'll find the Zoom link for today in our book club area on the Co-Reg Community ( https://www.coregcommunity.com/group/book-club-restorative-embodiment-resilience-by-alan-fogel-with-susan-hopkins-fall-2021-22/custom).
